LSDesign

A Small Company with a Big Impact

Hi everyone, I am going to tell you a little bit more about (LS Design) Loyd and Stacy. We have been together for five years and have had our newest addition to the family on December 15, 2008. Her name is Hannah Lorell Mae Nelson. We also have three sons Curtis 8, Chad 7 and Chase 6. They are the biggest part of our inspiration to start LS Design. It is our desire for the younger generation to learn more about the world they are brought up in. That is why we have decided to use our collage degrees and put forth a valuable effort that will hopefully impact the children's lives and give them a better advantage in their exploration for self individualism and finding their niche in life. I would also like to think of the "Technology Revolution" as something to build on as new ideas are introduced almost on a daily basis. Technology is changing by the minute and everyone should become flexible to new forms of communication if they desire to keep up with this change in cultural format, which changes the world we live in. This is a time of change and we must ask ourselves what kind of future do we want our children to have? And are we educated enough to withstand a cultural explosion of the new technologies and ideas?

I have been in construction for 30 years. I have seen the effects that have happened in the past decade. I have also owned a convenience store as well as my remodeling business that I currently am trying to make ends meet with now. My love and desire of art and design has brought me to this point now. I have been drawing since I was old enough to pick up a crayon. Which ultimately led me to expanding my mind with the Adobe CS4, Gimp 2, Auto Cad, Corral Draw, Corral painter 11, Paint Pro X, PowerPoint and whatever else I can use to my advantage. I have become very fluent and efficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, and Indesign. I have also increased my skill in drawing and painting; I can draw in perspective and use color theory methods as well as color schemes to help advertise design and sell products.

Stacy is the backbone of the company; she not only has the design background, but the working knowledge of all the day to day arrangements of the clients personal needs and financial endeavors. She is in contact with clients to help orchestrate the chaos, and make sure that all clients are satisfied with their service 100%. She is also currently enrolled at Art Institute of Pittsburgh in Graphic Design (Bachelor’s) and has a degree in business. She has experience in PR, newspaper, advertising, layout, Adobe CS4 (All programs), Microsoft Office 2007 (all programs).

On a personal note and not just because she is my wife and partner, and she will probably fuss at me a little bit, but I have to give credit where credit is due. She is truly an amazing woman and as such I would like to thank her for all the effort that it takes to handle clients and still be a wonderful mother to four children and a wife to the biggest child of them all, me (Just Kidding). She knows how to handle different situations and has a grasp on reality. When things get tough we work together very well and initiate some wonderful ideas together that work, and last. You as the client are our number one concern and we are aware of that, and strive for perfection. So I say to you she is equally concerned about the client’s best interest, as well as a strong foundation for LS Design. We will strive to provide the best service and best rates we possibly can to help serve you and make your experience with LS Design a pleasurable one. Thank you.

Others Who have Helped

I would also like to thank everyone who has encouraged us to make this work. For all the effort that they have given to us to go to college and to become the best we can be. It is through their strength that has been with us through thick and thin, and will linger on into the future of our education as well as LS Design. The values that we have learned and the morals that we keep are all possible by no other than the people that have brought us up. As a tribute to them I am dedicating not only this site to them, but all the hard work that we do and for the future that LS Design has to offer.

My Mother, "Viola Mae Nelson" I have just recently lost her, but God has gained another angle. She went home August 5, 2009. She was 85 years old and was an inspiration and encouragement throughout my life.

Lorell Conner or “Big Mama" as we call her, which is Stacy's mom, has been an inspiration to both of us. All the values and wise advice that she has given to us in that never ending quest for direction and comfort. To always look to the future and learn from the past, but never move backwards, stay focused on what life throws at you attitude. Don't never say never is what she has taught us.

Iain Miles or “Big Daddy" as we call him. He is a retired professor from Scotland, UK. He has given us the encouragement and the best understanding of the power of the mind and what can be done with it. He is also just as much a part of the family since he met “Big Mama" and gives inspiration and rays of hope and direction into her life as well. We applaud "Big Daddy"! He has shown what a true form of a man should be, and is always the first to give it to you straight, which is a great way to not only get your attention, but to stay focused on life itself.

This Day In Histor
y:

I am a big history buff and I thought I might share some history for the day with everyone. I also believe that we learn from our past to improve on the future. With the development of technology at an astounding rate what was new last year is old news today. We here at LSDesign know the importance of staying up to date on all the latest trends as well as all the new technology.
